Introduction
Lost Sword is all about building strong teams and mastering synergies. Success in the game doesn’t come from having a single overpowered unit—it’s about creating a balanced team that maximizes elemental reactions and composition.
Here’s why this tier list matters:
- Team Composition Matters Most: Even the best units in S+ tier need proper teammates to shine. Don’t rely solely on one powerful character.
- Reactions & Synergies Are Key: Pair characters to trigger strong elemental reactions and maximize their potential.

Tier Explanation
Disclaimer: Sorry for the delay in updating the tier list—it was a bit tricky to adjust rankings with the current state of the game. Since the last update, Galahad has completely shifted the meta.
She’s an insanely strong unit—you only need her and a healer to keep her alive long enough to cast her ultimate, and she’ll carry almost any team. This setup allows nearly any DPS or damage dealer to shine, while supports have also gained more value. However, this also means that pure DPS characters are facing tougher competition, leading to some shifts in the rankings.
Additionally, the devs promised buffs to 5★ units to make them more viable compared to older 4★ characters, and while we’ve seen some changes, not every unit has been adjusted yet. The damage formula is still not fully fixed, and ironically, many of the top DPS units—both old and new—are still bugged in some way. Because of this, I wanted to wait for more testing before updating the tier list.
So, please take this tier list as a reference—every character can perform well with the right build, cards, and team composition, depending on the content and enemies they're facing.
As of February, tanks and healers are the strongest and must-build units, followed by supports with additive or multiplicative buffs, and lastly, damage dealers, which saw the biggest shake-up in rankings after the latest update. Lua, in particular, was slightly nerfed since her launch-day insane damage was actually a bug, but she’s still strong.
New Addition: LisaLisa is a Chaos-element, middle-position archer with a massive AoE range, making her one of the strongest carries in the game. Her full potential is unlocked when paired with Galahad and her signature card, which further extends her AoE. With the proper team setup and content suited to her strengths, Lisa is the strongest Chaos DPS available.
She excels in multi-wave battles against multiple enemies, making her an incredible choice for PvE content that features hordes of enemies. However, this doesn't mean she's weak in boss fights—Lisa can still compete with Lua in terms of raw DPS. While she’s incredibly strong, her reliance on specific setups keeps her out of S-tier for now.
New Addition: Anessa
The new character, Anessa, is a strong and fun freeze based damage dealer. In terms of raw damage, she’s on par with Lisa and Lua, and in the right situations—depending on enemy weaknesses, numbers and dupes—she can even surpass Lisa.
Stay tuned! We’ll be making a detailed guide soon with all the info you need.
There's just something about her that makes me love her—honestly, I’d give her an SSS rating just for her eyes alone. {alertWarning}
S+ Tier
A majority of S+ units belong to the Holy element, granting them a unique edge thanks to their lack of elemental weakness. This ensures their dominance across all types of encounters, whether in PvE, PvP, or boss fights.
As for Lua, she stands out as an excellent front-row damage dealer in a role that sees less competition. While the mid and back rows are saturated with top-tier characters, Lua holds her ground with impressive damage output and a fast 6-second cooldown skill.
She synergizes exceptionally well with S+ units, enhancing team performance further. This combination of speed, strength, and reliable damage output allows Lua to compete with the highest-tier characters, making her a dependable DPS carry for any team.
S Tier
A Tier
Ethan, the male protagonist, falls into this tier, with his potential ranging from A+ to S depending on the team and scenario especially early game. He is an excellent starter carry for progressing through the early game, but his effectiveness diminishes when facing level +120 enemies, potentially dropping him to this tier.
These characters are great for PvP and story progression. They’re reliable options as you continue to build your roster and refine your strategies.
B Tier
Some may excel in specific niche scenarios but become less useful in most other content Or just a PvP unit like Isabelle.
