Backstory
-
Anessa is the newest and first Frost front-row melee damage dealer. She boasts one of the fastest auto-attacks in the game, making her a powerhouse in multi-wave content. Her damage output is exceptionally high, rivaling the Galahad-Lisa team, and in certain situations, she can even outperform Lua. Purely in terms of damage, she's easily a top-five melee DPS.
However, to function properly, she requires a reliable Frozen status applier—typically Merlin, whom you'll likely be using anyway, or Catherine—to maximize her potential.
And The more attack speed you stack on the team, the higher her damage numbers climb.
In content with multiple waves, such as Stonehenge or certain story stages with 4–6 waves, she becomes a relentless killing machine.
Her main drawback is her positioning in the front row, making her highly susceptible to damage. This issue is mitigated when running a Freeze team, but otherwise, she’ll need strong frontline support. A reliable tank like Galahad or Kay, along with a solid healer such as Isolde or Ria, is crucial to keeping her alive and maximizing her performance.

Resonance Card

Anessa's card, "스며든 관능," is essentially a mini version of Ran's card, making it a great option for her and other teammates.
If you don’t own Ran’s Moonlight Swordplay, or if you want to use both in certain situations—especially against raid bosses—this card becomes even more valuable. It provides a powerful +60% Melee Attack Increase, +10% Crit Rate, and an additional +36% Attack Increase for the entire team.
Overall, it's an excellent card to have, and I highly recommend getting it if you don’t have Ran’s.
Pet

[Damage Dealt]
Inflict damage equal to 150% of Attack.
[Target]
All Enemies
[Effect: Frozen]
Frozen: Cannot take any actions.
Duration : 2 Second(s)
[Cooldown] 20 Second(s)
Anessa's pet, 아네사, is a decent option, but its usefulness depends on the situation. It applies Frozen for 2 seconds with a 20-second cooldown, making it valuable for survivability—especially against hard-hitting bosses. The brief freeze can give you a moment to heal or set up your ultimates.
In regular story stages, this pet is a solid choice, boosting your damage output, particularly in a mono-Freeze team. However, in raids, it can sometimes disrupt your rotations. For example, in fights like the Death Lord raid or other bosses where precise crowd control timing is crucial, relying on a pet’s automatic freeze effect can throw off your strategy. Since both your pet and character skills may apply CC at different times, things can get messy.
Overall, it's a solid pet to have, but be mindful of when and where you use it.

Anessa's teams are straightforward. She relies on a character to trigger the Freeze synergy, usually Merlin or Catherine. Beyond that, she benefits from having a tank w / or healer for sustain, while the remaining slots depend on the situation. Here are some of her best team compositions:
