As we approach the 100-day milestone for Lost Swords, the development team has taken time to reflect on the journey so far. While there have been challenges, the overwhelming support and valuable feedback from players have kept the team motivated. In this update, we’ll go over the latest improvements, upcoming features, and address some of the most frequently asked questions from the community.
The Gear Refinement System
One of the biggest additions coming soon is the Gear Refinement System. This feature allows players to enhance their equipment using Refinement Stones, which increase gear stats randomly from 1 to 10 per refinement attempt, up to a maximum of 100.
Refinement Stones can be crafted weekly using enhancement scrolls, obtained from guild exchanges, or acquired through event shops. Expect to see this system implemented in the first week of April.
Expanding the Game’s World: New Features and Interactions
The team is also working on bringing more life to the game’s world.
The lobby will see regular updates, with more interactive visitors and special events designed to keep things fresh. Additionally, Erin, a highly anticipated new character, will make her debut in mid-April.
Beyond that, a new customization feature is in development—seasonal and new lobby themes! While it will take some time to complete, players can look forward to a special summer-themed lobby later this year.
Another personalization option on the way is the Border Decoration System, allowing players to earn unique profile borders through ranking rewards and special events.
Balance Adjustments and Multi-Team Content
The developers are fully aware of the ongoing discussions about character balance. While some characters dominate, others feel underwhelming.
Starting in April, expect balance adjustments focused on underused characters, as well as improvements to multi-team content like Boss Raids and the upcoming “Cycle of Stars” mode. The goal is to ensure every character has a meaningful role in the game and use multiple team compositions.
The Labyrinth Rework
With the recent addition of the Labyrinth Skip System, the team is now focusing on expanding rewards and adding exclusive drops that make Labyrinth runs more rewarding. The goal is to make this mode more engaging beyond simply grinding for materials.
Village Activities: More Than Just Battles
Lost Swords is primarily a combat-focused game, but the team wants to expand what players can do outside of battle.
Upcoming village activities include a dynamic marketplace where players can buy and sell fruit with fluctuating prices, a diving minigame where players search for hidden treasures, and even a scarecrow DPS test to fine-tune character builds. The goal is to create a world that feels more alive and interactive.
Community Q&A Highlights
More Costumes and Skins?
Right now, only Elizabeth and Bedivere have costumes, but that’s about to change!
Tristan’s costume is set to release in early April, and Galahad will receive a new cutscene animation. Also, for fans of themed outfits, a Bunny Girl costume for Anessa is currently in the works!
More Multi-Team Content?
A new multi-team game mode, Cycle of Stars, is scheduled for April. Since using multiple teams can sometimes feel overwhelming, the developers are working on keeping it intuitive while ensuring it’s a fun and rewarding challenge.
Better Grinding Options?
While players can repeat certain stages and towers for extra rewards, the developers acknowledge the need for more long-term progression mechanics. Future updates will introduce systems that let players continuously push their limits through score-based challenges and other incentives.
Will There Be More Village Features?
Yes! The village will be expanded with fun, interactive elements such as farming, fruit trading, diving for treasures, and additional side activities that make the world feel more immersive.
Morgana’s Past?
A popular request has been to explore Morgana’s past, and while there are no immediate plans, the developers hint that if enough players show interest, her history as a noble Fairy Queen might be revealed in the future.
Will the Art Style Stay the Same?
The developers are committed to keeping the game’s signature art style, with a focus on high-quality cel-shaded animation.
Upcoming illustrations and designs will stay true to this direction, ensuring Lost Swords maintains its unique visual identity.
Looking Ahead
The team understands that there’s still a lot to improve, and while progress may seem slow at times, they are dedicated to refining the game based on community feedback.
From addressing balance concerns to adding new content, Lost Sword continues to evolve with its players. As always, stay tuned for future updates, and thank you for being part of this journey!
