In Lost Sword, taking down raid bosses is one of the most important challenges in the game. These battles not only test your team composition, gear, and strategy but also determine your rankings among other players and guilds.
How Raid Bosses Work
Lost Sword features multiple rotating bosses, changing daily. You get three attempts per day, but only your highest single-damage attempt counts. Your score is then ranked against other players and guilds, with better rewards for higher placements. Naturally, whales and high spenders with max-dupe awakened characters dominate the top, but F2P players can still aim for good individual rankings with smart strategies.
Ranking & Rewards
Your Raid Score places you in two ranking systems:
- Individual Ranking – Based on your highest damage attempt of the day.
- Guild Ranking – Based on the total damage dealt by all members of your guild.
At daily reset, rewards are sent to your mailbox based on your rank:
Individual Boss Raid Rewards:
🏆 Rank 1-10 → Raid Coin x1000, Legendary Raid Conquest Box x1
🥈 Rank 11-50 → Raid Coin x800, Legendary Raid Conquest Box x1
🥉 Rank 51-100 → Raid Coin x600, Heroic Raid Conquest Box x1
🏅 Rank 101-300 → Raid Coin x400, Heroic Raid Conquest Box x1
🎖 Rank 301-500 → Raid Coin x300, Rare Raid Conquest Box x1
🔹 Rank 501+ → Raid Coin x200, Raid Conquest Box x1
Guild Boss Raid Rewards:
🏆 Rank 1-10 → Guild Coin x1000, Legendary Raid Conquest Box x1
🥈 Rank 11-50 → Guild Coin x800, Legendary Raid Conquest Box x1
🥉 Rank 51-100 → Guild Coin x600, Heroic Raid Conquest Box x1
🏅 Rank 101-300 → Guild Coin x400, Heroic Raid Conquest Box x1
🎖 Rank 301-500 → Guild Coin x300, Rare Raid Conquest Box x1
🔹 Rank 501+ → Guild Coin x200, Raid Conquest Box x1
Higher ranks mean better rewards, so maximizing your damage is crucial to earning more and rare materials!
What Affects Your Raid Damage?
Your overall damage in raids depends on:
- Your level – Higher levels grant better base stats, increasing both damage and survivability.
- Gear quality – Stronger gear boosts DPS and ensures better sustain / buffs in battle.
- Awakened characters – Awakenings significantly boost the character damage and unlock their full potential especially for supports units.
- Resonance cards – The most crucial factor, providing powerful bonuses. Some cards are even mandatory to counter specific boss mechanics.
Building a team for every boss can be tough since your damage output will vary based on what you own. That’s why this guide will focus on proven strategies to guarantee at least 30M+ damage for players below level 200 and 100M+ for those above level 200 with awakened units. If you’re missing certain cards, I’ll provide alternatives so you can adjust your setup accordingly.
Creating an optimal team composition for every player is challenging since damage output depends on multiple factors:
- Your character levels and skill upgrades
- The resonance cards you own and their levels
- Whether your characters and pets are awakened or have duplicates
Because of these variables, this guide won’t focus on every possible team setups. Instead, it provides proven strategies to secure at least 30M+ damage for sub-200 players and 100M+ for level 200+ players with awakened units.
If you're missing key resonance cards, I'll suggest viable alternatives so you can still achieve strong results. Don’t forget to use food buffs and Dragon Roar scrolls before tackling raid bosses!

How to Play This Team
▼
Watcher can be frustrating due to his petrification mechanic, but once you know how to counter it, the fight becomes much easier. His eye glows before launching his petrification skill—this is your cue to crowd-control (CC) him and cancel it. He uses this skill twice in the fight, so you'll need to time your abilities carefully.
Use Merlin’s ultimate at around 39 seconds and Tristan’s ultimate at around 16 seconds to interrupt both instances of petrification. As long as you watch for these key moments, Merlin and Tristan will handle the rest automatically, keeping the boss in check and stop every petrification skill in between.
Optimal Rotation
- Start with Ria’s ultimate, followed quickly by Galahad, then Lisa.
- Merlin at 39s, Tristan at 16s to cancel Watcher’s petrification.
- At the end, use Galahad, Ria, then follow up with Lisa and Merlin.
Resonance Card Alternatives
- Galahad: If you don’t have Lilith’s card, use Ran’s Moonlight Swordplay. or Eye of Vengeance
- Lisa: Can use either Enya’s Manager’s Dignity or Tristan’s Unerring Bow.
- Tristan: Needs attack speed to effectively CC the boss. If you don’t have Enya’s card, use Christina’s Rose Flame instead.
- Ria: Can use Lilith’s card if available.
Mastering these timings and using the right cards will make this fight much smoother!

Fire Dragon - Ignis Raid Strategy
Ignis’ burning DoTs hit hard, especially if you're dealing high damage. You need to manage his fire attacks carefully to survive. There are two effective team variations for this fight. I personally recommend the Lisa variation, but if you don't have her, you can use Christina instead while following the same rotation.
Battle Strategy
- At the start, take Ignis’ first two fire breaths—they don’t deal much damage. Save Galahad’s ultimate for the final phase.
- His third skill triggers around 42s. At this point, you have two options:
- If you’ve already dealt 55M+ damage, you might need to freeze him to survive longer. Use Catherine’s ultimate first.
- If not, start with Ria’s ultimate for extra buffs and healing, then quickly follow up with Catherine, Merlin, and Lisa.
- Save Galahad’s ultimate for 20s, right before the final fire breath—it hits hard, and you’ll need it to survive and also to get her buffs for the final attacks
- For the nuke phase, follow this sequence: Ria → Catherine → Lisa → Merlin.
- If you started the fight with Catherine use her first, follow up with Ria, lisa and finally merlin Their cooldowns will align perfectly.
Resonance Card Recommendations
- Galahad: Lilith’s card charm or Ran’s Moonlight Swordplay.
- Merlin: Her own card or Christina’s Rose Flame.
- Catherine: Merlin’s card or Vivien’s card.
- Lisa: Lua’s Elgrad Sword Art Journal or Enya’s card The Manager's Dignity.
- Ria: Lilith’s card Charm or Circe's card Carpe diem

- Phoenix – Essential for the crit rate buff

Ice Dragon - Elheim Raid Strategy
Elheim is super easy once you understand his mechanics. His breath attack has an RNG-based freeze effect—it can freeze the entire team while dealing damage, so you must CC him to cancel it.
Battle Strategy
- His first ice breath attack may freeze your entire team or not. If you get an unlucky freeze, just reset the fight since it happens right at the start.
- The next ice breath happens around 35s, but if you follow this rotation, Tristan will automatically cancel it.
- Rotation:
- Upon entering the domain, use Galahad’s ultimate immediately.
- Then use Lua → Tristan → Lisa in sequence.
- Save Merlin’s ultimate until 5s before Galahad’s ult cooldown is ready to cancel the last ice breath.(if you launch it a bit late 4.6s or less the rotation is ruined)
- For the final phase, use Galahad → Lua → Lisa → Tristan.
- Following this rotation, you won’t need to worry about Elheim’s attacks. Merlin and Tristan’s CC will handle him, and Galahad’s ultimate prevents damage even if you get frozen.
- JUST make sure Do not stack too much attack speed, as it will disrupt the CC rotation.
- Lua’s card is a must on Tristan, as it ensures proper CC timing.
Resonance Card Recommendations
- Galahad: Lilith’s card.
- Lua: Enya’s card (or Ran’s card if available).
- Merlin: Christina’s card (for attack speed boost).
- Tristan: Lua’s card (mandatory). If unavailable, consider the Joan of Arc variation.
- Lisa: Tristan’s card, her own card, or any viable alternative.
Best Pets
- Phoenix – Essential for the crit rate buff.
- Morgana Or Esteria – Further boosts damage output.
- Athena – Provides additional damage.

Raid Strategy
If you don’t own Lua’s card or Tristan, there’s an alternative team based on Joan of Arc. This team is super easy to play—just press auto and let them do their thing. For the second rotation, start with Galahad’s ultimate. You won’t be able to block all freeze attacks, but this is the best setup available.
Recommended Resonance Cards:
- Galahad – Ran's Card
- Lisa – Enya’s Card or Tristan’s Card
- Merlin – Lua’s Card
- Ria – Merlin’s Card
- Joan of Arc – Lilith’s Card

Arachne

Arachne is a super easy boss that doesn’t require any specific gimmicks. You just need to time your healing or use Galahad’s Shrine (Ultimate) if you’re about to die, especially if you’re dealing high damage. His venom stacks ramp up significantly during the second phase, so be mindful of your HP.
Best Teams and Variations
There are two viable team variations. I found that Lisa deals slightly more damage than Enya, but you should use the character with higher dupes and better investment. If you prefer, you can also replace Merlin with Christina and run Morgause + Enya too for a full fire team. All team variations follow the same rotation.
Lisa Variant (Recommended)
- Start the fight by using Kay’s Ultimate, followed by Ria and then Lisa.
- Save Merlin’s Ultimate for the second phase. If your HP is dropping too fast (around 30s), you might need to use it earlier, but it’s best to wait until after Galahad’s Buff.
- At around 20s, use Galahad’s Ultimate, followed by Merlin. Then use Ria and Lisa. Their cooldowns will align perfectly.
Alternative Variations
- Kay – Galahad – Ria – Enya – Merlin: No need to save ultimates, just rotate them as they come.
- Replace Merlin with Christina or add Morgause to the mix for a fire-based team.
Recommended Resonance Cards
- Galahad: Lilith’s Card
- Kay: Ran’s Card
- Lisa: Lua’s Card
- Merlin: Vivien’s Card or her own card
- Ria: Enya’s Card or Christina’s Card or merlin's card
Best Pets

Medusa

How to Play This Team

Medusa shares the same petrification mechanic as the Watcher, but she also applies poison, which rapidly drains your HP—especially in the second phase. Keep an eye on your health and be ready to counter her skills.
To deal with her, you need to CC her to cancel her petrification skill. You’ll see her raising her hand, and when it starts glowing, you must stop her immediately. If you follow this rotation, Tristan and Merlin will automatically handle her petrification skill attacks, so you only need to focus on the key moments.
Best Team Rotation
- Start the fight by using Ria’s Ultimate, followed quickly by Galahad and then Lisa.
- Use Merlin’s Ultimate to cancel Medusa’s petrification skill at around 18-20s.
- Save Tristan’s Ultimate for the nuke phase.
- For the final rotation, use Galahad → Ria → Tristan → Lisa.
Recommended Resonance Cards
- Galahad: Ran’s Card
- Lisa: Lua’s Card (or Lilith’s/Her own card as alternatives)
- Merlin: Vivian’s Card or her own card
- Tristan: Enya’s Card
- Ria: Lilith’s Card (If given to Lisa or someone else, use Merlin’s or Vivian’s card instead)
Best Pets
- Phoenix
- Esteria
- Athena
- Bedivere or Lisa’s pet – Alternative options
- If dying early use Elizabeth’s pet or any pet with damage reduction

How to Defeat Death Lord – Best Team and Strategy
Death Lord has a wide-area stun attack that can be tricky to deal with. However, it's easy to counter if you time your skills correctly. Watch for the moment he raises his hands and slams his sword into the ground—this is your cue to react. By following this rotation, Merlin will cancel most of his stun attacks, except during the second phase, where you'll need her's and Catherine’s ultimate for proper positioning to freeze this boss.
Recommended Rotation
When entering the domain, follow this skill sequence:
- Use Galahad's ultimate immediately after cooldown.
- Follow with Ria, then Catherine, and finally Anessa.
- Save Merlin’s ultimate until around 27-26s to freeze Death Lord before his stun attack.
- After that for the 2nd phase, use Galahad, followed by Ria, Catherine, and lastly, Anessa.
Resonance Cards
- Anessa – Ran’s card or her own card.
- Galahad – Lilith’s card.
- Merlin – Lua’s card (IMPORTANT).
- Catherine – Vivien’s card or Merlin’s card.
- Ria – Vivien’s, Merlin’s, or Circe’s card.
Pets
- Phoenix
- Morgana
- Athena
Note: Anessa’s pet can also work, but it may disrupt the freeze rotation, so be mindful when using it.

Alternative Team (Without Anessa)
If you don’t have Anessa, you can run:
- Galahad, Ran, Lisa, Merlin, and Ria.
The rotation remains the same, but if you prefer, you can save Merlin’s ultimate for the second phase to cancel the stun at 27s:
- First Phase: Galahad → Ria → Ran → Lisa.
- Second Phase: Galahad → Ria → Ran → Merlin (Wait untill ~6-5s) to cancel stun attack→ Lisa.
Alternative Resonance Cards ( Stack as much attack speed as possible)
- Ran – lilith or Ran’s card.
- Galahad – Enya’s card.
- Ria – Christina’s card.
- Merlin – Lua’s card.
- Lisa – Enya’s or her own card.
Pets (Same as Above)
- Phoenix, Morgana, Athena.
This setup provides strong CC control, allowing you to handle Death Lord efficiently while maximizing damage output. Choose the best variation based on your available units and cards.
